Jungle Jack Hanna To Host Madison Show

Get ready for a wild night of entertainment featuring up-close encounters with acclaimed animal expert, Jungle Jack Hanna, and his wild animal friends at this adult-only event on Saturday, March 10 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Enjoy cocktails, delicious food, music, up-close animal experiences, our Prius raffle drawing and Jungle Jack Hanna himself. All proceeds will benefit the Henry Vilas Zoo's Arctic Passage Project, which will construct a new state-of-the-art habitats for polar bears and seals.

General admission tickets are $75 with VIP passes for $150. A VIP table that includes eight VIP passes is $1,000.

Madison's Wild Side To Tour Kettle Pond Park

Madison Parks is hosting free monthly tours of Madison Conservation Parks. June's location is at Kettle Pond at 5808 Old Middleton Road in Madison.

The tours are led by a Madison Parks staff member and co-sponsored by the Madison Audubon Society. 

Each tour will focus on a different park and unique natural feature of that park. 

Madison Parks has 14 conservation parks comprising over 1600 acres. Each conservation park focuses on the restoration of native plant and animal communities while providing educational areas and opportunities for all.

Far West Madison Lab Figures Out Why Blackbirds Died

Local experts are continuing to investigate a mass bird kill in the South, and they're working to calm fears that have developed because of the seemingly strange occurrence.

Preliminary lab results show the blackbirds that fell from the sky in central Arkansas died from blunt force trauma.

Madison Parks is hosting free monthly tours of Madison Conservation Parks.  The FREE GUIDED TOURS are led by a Madison Parks staff member and focus on a unique park and unique natural feature of that park.  Madison Parks has 14 conservation parks comprising more than 1600 acres.
