National Hot Wing Chain Opens New Store On Regent Street | Restaurants
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Wingstop, a national hot wing chain that was found in 1994 in Texas, has opened a new location at 1234 Regent Street.
The location is the first of several Wingstop restaurants that franchise owner Vince Romano plans to open in Madison. Romano, who lives in Roselle, Ill., also owns two Wingstop restaurants in the Chicago area. His son, Seth, will manage the Madison location.
"This is truly a family business, and Madison is like a second home for us," said Romano in a news release. "We’re excited to open the doors and start serving great wings to the Madison community."
The Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, strips and much more all made-to-order and sauced and tossed in nine original flavors.
"Wings and sports go hand-in-hand, and Wingstop is in a great, convenient spot near the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Camp Randall Stadium," added Romano.
The restaurant opened in time for Saturday's big game between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Wingstop Madison will also offer Coca-Cola Freestyle, a fountain dispensing system with more than 100 beverage options.
Wingstop Madison will host a grand opening event Saturday, Oct. 15, which will coincide with the Wisconsin Badgers homecoming game. Wingstop will be sampling and distributing specials offers at Camp Randall Stadium prior to kickoff.
The Wingstop location on Madison's far west side that closed shortly after it opened was not operated by the Romano family. That location was near the Woodman's grocercy store on Gammon Road.
