Firefighters Respond To Morning Fire At West Side Restaurant
The manager of a Madison restaurant reported a fire at the Biaggi's on Junction Road at about 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Madison fire officials said that when crews arrived they were greeted by the manager who said he thought he was able to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. But after closer look, firefighters feared the fire spread into the attic of the building.
Firefighters were able to fully extinguish the fire by 9 a.m., officials said.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, fire officials said. They said there was no injuries and a damage estimate was not yet available.
