Brink To Host MMSD School Board Candidate Forum | Events

A Madison Metropolitan School District candidate forum will be held at the Brink Lounge on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

Issues facing the new school board will include decreased state funding, new opportunities in changed labor relationships, crime in the schools, low and decreasing performance levels for some students. 

The four candidates for two seats will vie for election to the Madison Metropolitan School District Board of Education for three-year terms.

The election will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 3.

Candidates will present information about their backgrounds, qualifications and why they wish to serve on the school board. Members and guests will have an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates.

The Dane County Council of Public Affairs is hosting the forum.
