St. Mary's Care Center Works With Local Cans Count Program | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
You might not think twice about recycling your aluminum cans, that is until you meet Adam Notstad.
The special needs adult is not able to go to work as many of us know it, but he does run his own can recycling venture called AdamCan Recycling.
He partners with local organizations like the St. Mary’s Care Center, at 3401 Maple Grove Drive, which donates its used cans for recycling. He then crushes the cans and collects money in the process. Since October, the St. Mary’s Care Center has given him 2,772 cans. His goal is to collect and crush 50,000 by the end of March.
Adam stopped by the Care Center with his mother on Tuesday to say thank you for the donations. In addition to the cans the Center generates, it’s also encouraging residents and guests to collect as well to help Adam reach his goal.
The objective of AdamCan Recycling is to help companies recycle their aluminum cans and to provide them with data that supports their responsibility to the community and the environment.
