The Arc Hosts Annual Fruit Sale Fundraiser | Community Spirit

Once again The Arc of Dane County is holding its annual fundraising fruit sale from Jan. 1 through Jan. 31. Large and small boxes of oranges and grapefruit,  as well as small boxes of mixed fruit (half oranges and half grapefruit) will be available for purchase.

They are sweet California Navel Oranges and fresh Florida Indian River Red Grapefruit are some of the best tasting fruit you can find, according to organizers. The money raised will support three very worthwhile causes:

• The Arc – to help the group continue to support people with disabilities and their families.
• Second Harvest Food Bank – to benefit families in need of nutritious food.
• Community Action Coalition – to benefit the Dane County Food Pantry Network.

Second Harvest and CAC receive donations of  food from many sources, but very little fresh fruit. As a result of your past contributions, Arc's fundraiser has given more than 13 tons of fresh fruit to the food banks. For more information and an order form, go to www.arcdanecounty.org.
