UW Arboretum Hosts Naturalists Art Exhibit

The University of Wisconsin Arboretum's Visitor Center will be home to a very special art exhibit through August.

A reception to celebrate the show will be held on Sunday, July 10 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Since 2009 a group of 40 volunteers -- the Arboretum Corps of Discovery -- have been working on ways to present the natural history of the UW Arboretum through painting, sketching, photography and writing.

The product of their work captures plant and animal communities passing through the seasons and phases of life, and adds updated views to a photographic record of hundreds of specific sites in the Arboretum that reaches back more than six decades.
